Our client in Mentor, Ohio commissioned Royal Plastics, Inc to manufacture a polycarbonate electronics enclosure to be used in electrical controls. With our plastic injection molding expertise, Royal Plastics, Inc was more than ready to provide our customer with what they needed.
After reviewing the customer-supplied print and UL requirements, we began building the various pieces of FR polycarbonate that would eventually be assembled. By means of tooling and CNC milling (a process involving precise drilling of holes and milling of windows), we got to a point where we were able to screen print and otherwise assemble the electrical enclosure into its final dimensions: a material thickness of .160″, a length of 10″, a width of 8″, and a height of 6″, with tightest tolerances falling within the exacting range of +/- .005″. Varying in weight between 1-10 lbs. depending on size, our product featured an integrated flange and closure, allowing for safe and efficient means of providing energy protection.
